Water based printing might sound scary at first but it is not. It is not as hard as the long-time plastisol printers think of it to be. Many printers have changed from traditional printing technique to this type of printing and business is flourishing and running successfully. At first this method was very complex as it was very old school printing method. It had to use special screens and extra cleaning steps. The ink used to be much runny due to which it was hard to control it from covering the whole material with the ink. The ink used to dry fast and it was very thin and not opaque.

Why clients prefer Water based printing over other printing methods?

As these prints are soft and breathable so customers love their t shirts to be printed in this method. This method gives crisp and detailed designs of your custom art without the difficulties faced in the traditional plastisol printing. On 100% cotton fabric these printing method works the best. These days even on 50/50 fabric also these prints are giving bright and detailed print of the designs and art. With this method it is possible to bleach out the previous or existing print and replace it with your own new design.

Three advantages of using this method for printing products are as follows

  • Eco friendly inks

The mixture of PVC resin and plasticizer gives us the plastisol ink which is not really eco-friendly for the environment. Water based inks are much more eco-friendly as they are free from plastic components.

  • Soft hands

Water based prints are much softer than plastisol prints. Even after washing the colours are still rich and do not fade away.

  • Sharper details

Since the ink dries the fabric rather than just sitting on it, the details are clearer and better.
